We've rented a car for 1 month to travel around (a.k.a national parks, camping, beaches), starting with 3 days in the Blue Mountains. They drive on the left side, and Jess even forgot how to drive on the right side, well good that Gael knows how to drive!

We went to Manly to visit Nick, an aussie guy that Amjad and Gael met in Costa Rica like 10 years ago. Really cool day, beach, bbq, lake, parrots and kookaburras!

First day in Sydney and first day of travel, jetlagged but happy

First stop Sydney, 10 days to get into the travelling vibe and hang out with our friends Amjad and Violaine from Lausanne (they are also making a 6 month trip and happened to be in Sydney at the same time). We stayed the first 3 nights at Red's place in Newtown (thanks!!) and now we are at the Original Backpackers hostel in the center. We are discovering the city by walking around, running in the Royal Botanic Gardens, and going to the beaches around the city. Gael met up with some graffiti guys to paint and some breakers to dance. Life is good!

Gd-St-Bernard

We went up the Gd-St-Bernard with Xavier from dialysis + Marc, and stayed one night at the hospice that is on top of the mountain since the 1050s! Two days of sunshine and snow.
